It all boils down to this.. either you believe and have had experiences or you never had a experience, therefore, your not really qualified to make an opinion on something you never experienced.. makes sense now doesnt it.. different strokes for different folks..

Ghosts, Spooks, and the Super Natural

I also have seen and interacted with many spirits over the years...Most are harmless, but when it comes to treasure, they can get downright nasty...as stated earlier, when you encounter a spirit while detecting, immediately stop your digging or detecting..face the spirit...be confident and sincere, and tell the spirit you mean no harm, and explain yourself...Ask if it is OK to hunt the area...Ask if it is OK to remove items...Ask if this is his resting place, or the resting place of many...If you get a negative response, appologize to the spirit(s) and tell them you will leave and not return...If you defy them, your in a world of trouble until you set yourself right with them...

Can’t Resist!

Sometimes you will run across a “beastie” in the strangest places, but they are more of a nuisance that a threat. They just like to play.

Long story short:

Couple of grandkids were exploring the woods we happened to be working and come back telling us that they both saw a confederate soldier and a lady walking down a path in the woods. When they hollered at the couple they turned around and looked at them but then kept on walking. About this time the grandkids decided something wasn’t right and came back to where we were.

A few months later I was talking to an old timer about where old houses and building used to be located on that section of woods and he told me about a confederate solder that used to live back in there somewhere. Seems like he came home to check on things one day and was caught by some union soldiers that killed him and his wife.

Things that make you go …. Huuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? :banghead:

OK....EX non-believer here. To make a long story short, my family rented a house on Edisto Island in South Carolina for a reunion. We all were experiencing strange things for the whole week we were there, but never mentioned it to each other for fear of being labeled, "the crazy uncle". At the end of the week we left way early to get to the airport...my three brothers, my wife and I in the car. As soon as we pulled out of the driveway of this house my brother said, "Man, I'm glad to get out of there...that house is haunted BIG time!" After that the stories of what we had individually experienced started flowing, and believe me, they covered the whole gammut from sightings, being pushed down in bed, objects going missing, noises, voices...you name it. We named the "spirit" Timmy...after a cousin that had drowned on the same beach many years ago (late 50s, early 60s).
Well, for better or worse, we rented the same house two years later...all of us joking about how we were anxious to get together with "Timmy" again. Let me tell you, that second week was something right out of a cheesy spook movie. All of the things we experienced previously happened again, and we were all having fun comparing daily notes. But on the last night we were there, we were sitting out on the porch on a bench type seat that faced looking into the living room of the house. SIX of us all saw Timmy, and I can now say that I feel it WAS Timmy because it was a small boy in a dark bathing suit, walk the full length of the living room....coming out of the kitchen door, across the living room, and down a stairway that led to the basement. All my youngest brother could do was point with his jaw laying on the floor. Another brother of mine, and I, jumped up and ran to the stairway...no sign of Timmy, but a VERY distinct sound of foot steps walking down the stairs. NO....we decided not to follow them down! I could go on and on about this house...but like I said...it's a long story.

Respect what is obvious, don't tempt fate: not everything that exists can be seen by the human eye. "There are stranger things under heaven and earth than the mind of man can imagine."
