Found this about 5 inches down. I'm pretty sure it is a Tootsie toy and it isin excellent condition with over 90% of the paint intact. can anyone identify when it is from? looks like late 50's or early 60's. Thanks[IMG]

That Tootsie is in really good shape. Usually the wheels get brittle and fall apart.
The beauty of the Tootsie is it's simplicity. They were made of 7 parts.
4 wheels, 2 axles, and the body.
    Congratulations

Timmyster, Congrat's to you on the find of the Tootsie Toy. It is indeed in great shop. Remarkable how the paint has stayed intact after all those years. Well Done.

well i found it! not a tootsie toy but a midgetoy from Rockford Illinois . Got this blurb online...Made by Midgetoy. This is a scale replica of the Bonneville Flats Ford style Class D Streamliner. The first car to break the 200 MPH land speed record at the Bonneville Nationals. Midgetoy catalogs show this toy was available from 1953 through 1959. Dont think mine is ready for 200 mph 20170816_235823.jpg 20170816_235841.jpg 20170816_235903(0).jpg
