Default A Point and What Could This be.

I found these today. Does anyone know the name of this point? And also what could this other thing be used for? The hole is perfect and all around the hole looks chipped. Like maybe something was spinning in it.

Is the stone fit in the palm of your hand sized? If so it could of been used to hod down the stick they used to create fire. The stone would hold the stick in place as they spun it in the fire starter. The stone would hold it in place keeping the friction and temperature up.

Default Try positing on Paleo Planet

They have an archeology forum at Paleo Planet and someone may be able to identify the drill base. As far as the point, I learned through several sources that it all depends where you found it. For example, here in Texas we have Harrell points.. They are almost identical in size and shape to the Cahokia points found elsewhere. But they are called Harrells since they are found here.

Their website is PaleoPlanet - Message Board - ezboard.com

When asking about the point, just mention approximately what area of what state you found it in.. Example, Northwest Arkansas or Southwest Georgia.
