Default re-axe

I found it lying in a field they had cleared of soil in preperation for building houses.The field lies between 2 ancient monuments a rath .......

Most raths were built between 700 and 1100 AD to house a farming family and perhaps some livestock. This particular rath is now an attractive landmark with mature trees on the platform and varied plant and bird life.
the other monument is a tower {see the pic}

....Antrim Round Tower was built around the 10th century and is one of the finest of its kind in Ireland. It is 28 metres tall and was built as part of a Celtic Monastic Settlement.

The advice ive got so far on the axe is its from the neolithic age.

Any help you can give me as to age of the axe would be helpful.I have been told its neolithic (4000) years old.I mentioned the 2 other sites to show this area has had people on the land for many years.
many thanks

Thumbs up there is a connection to some of my local pre history..

... to that of the U.K. some way or another.my opinion only, mounds, sudden leap in solar observation, ogam writing in a rock shelter in W.Va.etc. See the book, "America B.C." if you are interested in that kind of stuff. i have several pieces that look very close to your celt/ax. just a differant color and material.
