Default My "Rock Hound"

Here is a pic of my little "rock hound". She is a Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog), basically a tiny version of "Lassie". She loves to play ball and chase frisbees. She also has a habit of herding the cats. They kinda take it personally when she does this. I found out that she has a fascination with rocks. She will grab a rock and hide it. She she will then get it out and play with it later. I find rocks all over the place! She really likes flint. I was putting togather a frame one day and noticed her dart off really quick. She had snatched a big point from a box and was running to the back bedrooms to hide her "loot". I have to watch her! If I could only get her to sniff out points in the field! Actually, she would have a giant pile of flint by the time she was done.

The first pic is her waiting for me to throw a tennis ball. The second pic is after she has ran through the mud and jumped into a pond. She doesn't care for baths at all! She's giving me that "help me" look while my daughter gives her a bath.

Thanks for looking!

Brian

Hey Buster! This is our second Sheltie. Our first one lived to be 11 years old. She died of cancer. It was a really hard loss. I finally convinced my wife after 4 years to get another one. This one barks just to hear herself bark! She goes nuts when I come in from work. She recognizes me and still runs through the house barking just to let everyone else know I'm home I guess. She is very intelligent and headstrong - what a combination!

Thanks for posting!

Brian

Brian, ours is getting old, she just sits and barks at nothing sometimes and does not get around like she used to. She was a valentines gift for my wife and she is my wife's favorite. I am not sure how we will take it when she is gone..Just the same a real good dog...Buster....
