Thanks Everyone,the odd rounded top makes me wonder was it broken and reworked at a later date. I just thought like most they were all arrowheads. Here is an interesting link I found.Missouri Archaeological Society - Archaeology of Missouri - Is that an arrowhead?

I don't believe it was broken....if leelo sees this he may have an idea...he's from your general neck of the woods - and has a pretty impressive collection himself....

It is called a "Turkeytail-Harrison"...
.."Late Archaic to Woodland era,4000 - 2500 B.P." A very fine example of one too,one of the finest I have ever seen. Very nice find!!! Tom

Very nice point! I use to look for them but not really sure now where I can look. People are so funny about you going on their properties, their fields, and also some have made claims on the river banks and lakes. Geez....

Dixie, Being a southern girl myself I just love your name. I've had trouble lately finding good fields to hunt too. But have been eyeing some and will be catching the farmers in the spring before they plant .Terri
