Default What are these Points?

Could someone Identify these points for me? I'm not any good at identifying them. I always thought they are knife blades. The smaller white one looks like its been resharpened a gazillion times.

These are my 2 best finds. They are nothing like what some people have found, but i'm a newbie at hunting them, and have less than 50 total(whole and broken up pieces).

I hope the picture works....

Good, it looks like it went through. When you first click on it it will only be 37% of the original size, so you will have to enlarge it.

The bottom point looks like a well-worn notched dovetail. It has been resharpened quite a few times. It also has classic Archaic period beveling on the bottom edge. The top one is very nice! It is from the Archaic period as well. Not sure of the type as it depends on what part of the country it was found (Different names in different regions). Could be a Stillwell. No matter what the type, it is a very nice artifact!

Hope this helps.

Brian

cool, thanks for the help. These were both found in Northcentral Indiana, within about 4 miles of eachother.

About the bottom one...the beveling is just as steep on the other edge, only it's angle goes toward the opposite face. If I flipped it over, you could see it. With my limited knowledge, I almost mistook it for a wide drill. Thats how steep the bevel is.
