Well done! Those are some very nice points, but I really like the way that you laid out the display.

Wow that really looks great, maybe I'll think of doing something like that with the points I have at home that my dad gave me when I was 9 or 10.

We have quite a few creeks here and north of us quite a few plowed fields...time to make some new friends...
Hi Ric-San! I'm very lucky to have a good field that produces year after year. I've also been lucky enough to have hunted this same field for about 30 years now. I've only been able to hunt the Ft. Ancient site for about 4 years. I'd like to be able to hunt it for a few more years. This site is only about 5 minutes from my house.
Hope to see some of your finds pretty soon. It sounds like you might have a good spot to look.

Good luck!

Thanks EchoStar! One night I dreamed I was hunting that Ft. Ancient site. I was finding dozens and dozens of points. Then the alarm clock went off....

Hi Earl! The Ft. Ancient people lived in KY, OH, and WV around 1000 AD. I'm sure there were other states, but these are the only ones that I know of. They were from the Mississippian period. They are known for their small triangle-shaped arrowheads. Even their knives were made in the shape of an elongated triangle. A lot of their points have very nice flaking. Some of the points are so small that they can fit on a nickel. They made a lot of beautiful carvings and pottery.

Hope this helps!
