Default My favorite artifacts

Hello

I found the spear point while deer hunting in eastern oregon in the early seventies, the bead turned up in a gold pan along a coastal stream also in oregon. I was a long time resident of Josephine county Oregon before moving to the desert southwest .

Hi Guys

The point is obsidian ,it was found in the Yamzee Mountian area of eastern oregon .Most of them that we found are obsidian, all the way into southern oregon where I lived It is a real common type for oregon a lot of volcanic areas in the state.

The bead best I can tell is some kind of clay or a fairly soft stone which was carved and shaped, Ive never had it looked at by an expert,, but it is from one of the southern coastal areas, Im assuming that it is probly from one of the Umpqua tribes that ranged in that area.
