Default A slow day !!

Hello everyone

I had kind of a slow day today but I thought I would share a couple of the things that I found,, one repeat one rim fire rifle cartridge,, I ususally find a few I have yet to find a good one,One that is not bent or smashed or unfired but it will happen eventually.

One artifact that I believe is a stone tool that would have been used more than likely for scraping hydes,, the tool marks are easily seen ,by way of a short note this is also the material that a lot of the points are made from in this area.

Thumbs up Old finds or new finds it does not matter too me...

...I sure do like to look at all the relics and artifacts from all around the USA and other countries, except france, . Those Indian artifacts from out West are nothing like I will ever find here. Some may be the same type but the material they used, like obsidion are the best made and most awesome tools I have ever seen. I had a fellow send me some obsidion from Oregon so my friend can knap some items from it. good luck.

WVaTom
although I was not asked, I would be more than glad to share what I have if either you or your friend that does the knapping would like some obsidion ?
,, I collected several nice pieces when I lived in oregon, another of my hobbies( Rocks )I have collected since I was a 8 and have many many varieties of stones from all over the US ,, Just by point of interest, I work on the Mescalero apache Reservation and could maybe get you a few points made by a modern day apache ,there are a few that still do that here. Let me know if your interested?

They protect the originals that can be found within the res. but every now and then some will be found outside down here in the flats and I maybe able to get a hold of a few of those if the interest is high enough, the stone tool that I found was found outside and Ive just started with that site, its possible I will find a few there as time goes on.

Cool Dont go to any trouble for me..

I have a friend that makes bows from osage wood. He also makes his own arrows, flectches them and makes arrowheads from chert or coke bottle bottoms. I got him some obsidion last year. The only local culture that aquired obsidion around here were the Adena/mound builders. It would a very rare find to find a piece of it here as they buried most of it with them. Thanks. Best of luck to you.
