Yeap I found it in a local creek. Fun story about this location. Me and my bros grew up playing in the creek and I have rock hunted there all my life. About 8-9 years ago I found one near our old swimming hole but back then I didn't know what it was and thought it was just a tooth. I tossed it back into the creek into a deep hole. The next day I went to a rock show and came across this table that had nothing but teeth on it. Wouldn't you know it there was a bunch of teeth on the table that was just like the one I through back. I started to talk to the guy who was running the table and he told he about it and different kinds of teeth to look for in my area. He said the color of it indicates how old it is. We last fall I was telling my bro about it and we decided to walk the creek. We got down about 1/8 from where I found the other one several years back and my bro says "we aint finding S%#$" and as soon as he said that in the same breath he says "except this!!".

That is a really cool story - thank you for sharing!! I really just came here to find out what Pleistocene meant, lol!

My grandfather found some mastodon bones and they're in the relic-room of his house, he also found a big mastodon tooth. Isn't it crazy how teeth can last so long?

WoW!!! Mammoth teeth or remains are top on my list of things I would love to find. They are worth some bucks too , which makes them even sweeter!
