Default couple finds today

Well, first day back from school, and I already found a couple artifacts. Me and my dad went mushroom hunting in the woods behind my house. We found about 15. Thats not much, but they were all large, 4-7" in height. While we were hunting i found a grinding stone and a 2 1/4 inch knife(i suppose thats what it is). I was surprised because between me, my dad, and my mom, we usually find 1 artifact every other year while mushroom hunting, but i found 2 in one day!

I will try to post pictures Sunday or sometime next week.

well, here they are. I tried to show the flat side on the grinding stone. I'm holding the knife because the shadow would not have been good. The grinding stone fits perfectly in your right hand.

yep, found about 15 mushrooms. Almost all were large - between 4 and 7 inches with a couple smaller ones. We had them for Sunday lunch.

Its a large woods, probly 150 acres. We only hunt about 60 acres of it. the area is really just a wide canyon, about 30 feet tall and probly 600 feet accross in our section. its not a perfect canyon, some walls are now slow sloping(15 degrees), but some are still steep, probly 65 degree angles. The grinding stone was found a good distance from the creek, probly 600-700 feet. The knife was found on one of the "walls" of the canyon, probly 100 feet from the creek.
