Default Creek finds

Me, my nephew and my son took about 3 trips last week walking a creek bed and this is my finds. The first one just about made me sick. Sure wish it had not been broken!

Just walk and look to the ground when you see one you will know! If you find one, then it will just come natural to ya after that! Good luck!

Default Looking

ERIC, Best time to look for and find them is after a heavy rain or freshly plowed fields...PAPPY

Rob, where I am walking it is real shallow and you can see the rocks on the bottom. Some are found on sandy banks of the creek not in the water. Just different areas of the creek. Some areas you have to climb through the bushes. lol! It just depends on how much you like to hunt for points!!! Remember to watch for snakes!!!! or old mr. no shoulders!!! If I have that right.

Ask around and see if anyone knows of an area that they have found arrowheads before. If you can get access, this would make your odds a lot better! Other than that, if you have an area where you can see dirt and rocks, keep your eyes open for an arrowhead and keep in mind that they had other tools also. Look for rocks that have been worked or notched. I have one I forgot to add. I like to find them, not much of an expert on what I have, but I think this is some sort of drill. If I am wrong and anyone knows what I have please let me know!

Good Luck!!! You will find one! Just keep looking!

Pat

Rob sounds like a good place to look if it is dry. It is really best to look after a rain because it washes all the dirt off of the rocks. If the rocks are all one dirt color, try and look for the shape of an arrowhead or very thin points.

Hope this helps! (PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR SNAKES!!!!)
