Default Anyone have any idea on the age of this point? (updated with better pics)

Just curious to know if anyone here has any idea on the age or type of this point. Its the only complete point I have found. It appears to be fluted but it kinda crudely made. Hopefully the new pics will show it a little better.

Alan

Default I Tried To Help

Hello oberkill,
I looked at both scans and I couldn't see it well enough to tell as the focus is off a bit. If you can get a scan showing more details I'd be more than happy to assist you.
Do You own an open top scanner? I use mine to scan 99.99% of my pictures and it gives me better results than my digital camera. If you have an open top scanner, try using it. If you need assistance, I'll try my best to assist with that as well.

Wish I Could Have Helped, Roger

Yeah I really cant get clear enough pics with my camera in closeups. I have a scanner but I need a new card for it and just have not gotten around to picking one up. I will see what I can do with it this weekend. I have a few other pieces I would like to get better pics of as well.

Thanks!!
Alan

Ok I figured out what was going on with my camera. Here are 2 better pics. Let me know if you need any detail shots of the edges or anything. I will still work on the scanner thing this weekend but I may not have time! lol

Default I Not Sure

Hello Alan,
This piece appears to be worked but crudely. The items your finding and posting "may" be older than anything I've personally found? These items could be test pieces or the one shown could be what I call a blank. Maybe it was tested at the Quarry and never finished? I'm by no means an Authority on this subject and the above statements are just my oponion.

Find That Fluted Point and Let Us See It!!
Sorry I Wasn't Much Help!
Continued HH, Roger
