Default Pics of items I posted before but now you can actually see them!

Well since I think I have managed to wrangle my camera into submission I retook some pics of stuff I found earlier, this time in focus. I only started hunting in Aug so none are that far back! If anyone can identify any items or give an idea on age please let me know. Have fun!!

Default I Really Don't Know About All Of These

Hello Alan,
I'm used to seeing detailed work on a piece. I have stated before that these could be test pieces or pieces much older than I've ever found. I really can't say one way or the other. Your in the right area to have found all this Chert (Flint) so contiuned HH!

Now Find That Real Old Finely Worked Point To Show To Us,
Good Luck, Roger

PS: If you want mind, I'll dig out some of my old scrapers, etc and let you see what I'm used to seeing.....If I can find them once again. Keep Up The Hunt, Roger

I dont know either! lol I would like to see some of the scrapers you have as well. This is as much a learning experience as anything. I started doing this to spend more time doing outdoors stuff with my daughter and doing the research to try and find out age and type of the objects has been a good thing for her to learn as well. I have more larger pieces but I need to take some good pics of them. I will be going to a show on 0ct 22nd and there will be people that are experianced with items from this area there to help give dates and identify items. I will let you know what they say!

Everything on here is definatly an artifact. I verified that much at a meeting the local club had a few weeks ago. I do have some items that are marginal, they are either broken pieces or just chips off something else they were working. I just dont bother taking pics of those items. lol I did get some info on the age of the items at that meeting but he wanted me to bring it back to the show on the 22nd before he made it "official". The pics still dont really give you the full view, when you have them in you hand you can see how much they are worked. Also they are very differant from the non-worked pieces you find in the same area. I will update after the show with what info I get.

Default Some Of My Scrapers

Hey Alan,
Here is a scan of some scrapers I've found. The first one is a broken arrowhead reworked into a scraper or a blunt and the others are slick on one side. All the work (chipping) was done from one side going one direction. These are the smaller ones but the first I came across. I have/had some larger.....maybe somewhere. I'll post some Flint Celts, Hammer Stones, Blades, Blanks or Test Pieces, etc. later.

Thanks For Looking, Roger
