Default arrowheads, tools / obsidian

Hello from the Sierra,

I have enjoyed looking at the chirt/ flint style of points, never see any like that here in this area (CA).

These are fashioned from obsidian; glass like material, range in color from black, grey, clear and black with brown and cloudy brown.
As you can see some of these are very small, maybe used to shoot the trout that swim in the high country streams or for ceremonial use. The large one; in my opinion, is a scraper or spearhead gone wrong. The elongated ones are drills?

Toxic Waste and I found these while roaming around the high country here in the central Sierra mountains on our many camping, fishing, firewood cutting trips. We have located many cow, mining, logging and hunting camps. We always search out the dump areas looking for old bottles and artifacts. Now armed with metal detectors we are even finding more treasures.

TQ members please post pictures of your finds from different areas, we really enjoy seeing them.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Hello Timberline,
Very Nice Points! Continued Success with the hunts/digs!
I haven't went looking for Indian Artifacts in some time now. I hunted them hard and heavy from 1972 to around 1985/6. I still have my collection and I've been posting some of my old finds. I posted one last night and several last Sunday. Check back to see them as I have several different kind from this region: South Tennessee/North Mississippi.

If You have any questions, feel free to PM me!
Thanks and Continued HH, Roger
