Default My Favorite! A Very Nice Pine Tree Point

Hello My New Friends,
Please bear with me as I'm climbing the walls not being able to go Metal Detecting because of the present DROUGHT! Thought I'd show off my FAVORITE point (old find of course). This one came from a plowed field (note the small ding on the base). It still has Elmer's glue on one side where it was attached to a show case at one time. Just look at the serrated edges and the workmanship in this piece! It's small in size (didn't measure it but best I remember around 2" long) but the Craftsmanship and Chert (almost transparent) makes up for it in my book.

Thanks For Looking,
Please Don't Get Mad As I'm Not Posting New Stuff,
HH, Roger

Default I doubt it makes much difference

I doubt that it makes much difference to everyone whether you are posting old finds or new ones. As soon as I get them all dug outta the boxes they are packed away in, I will be posting all the points that I have found that I still have. Seems like points are getting rather hard to find nowadays. My Grandmother use to tell me my Great Uncle (her brother) use to physically throw them real hard after he found them. Something about luck. Sounds a little crazy to me but they were part Cherokee so I imagine it had to do with their beliefs and all. At least that was what she said, "Sending it back to the ones before."

That Pine Tree is a real nice find. Looking forward to seeing some more.
