Some more good finds! I like the whitish one the best.

Do you have much snow? Around here I haven't been able to search because there's several inches of snow covering the ground.

Hey Tom,
Another Good Outing! Do you know what the brown one is? What type was the saw blade looking one.....I can't say as I've seen anything like it!
Also, I haven't a clue as to what a graver is. Could you assist this Old Man as to what it was used for?

I drove as far as I could and then walked to the previously mentioned hill/mound today. Too much cover on the ground as it seems as this place is NO TILL planted......corn stalks and soybean stubs! Looks as if the corn was planted last year and the soybeans this year! I'll check back next spring on this spot and the bottom land around it!

Question Chicken little,

we have had very little snow in my area of W.Va but have had a fair amount to the East & north of me.

Raw-War digger,i dont know what the white one is as a piece is missing but as a guess would say a possible Kanawha stemmened or Amos corner notch type due to the serration's on the tip. the triangler one is a madison and the brown may be a hardaway side notch, big sandy, palmer? i just dont know yet to be honest. going over my local info now to see what i can see. graver was a tool used too ingrave design's on items like channel coal beads, mussel shells gorgets etc.

Default yo Tom

From the land of the Bluenose....nice post. After viewing a few of your posts will now be armed with some knowledge of what to look for when digging. Have only found a few stone arrow heads over the years. Thanks for sharing!
