Smile Todays finds

not sure about the side notch projectile & broken,as always,madison drill

buffalo stemmend and buffalo stemmend shaft scraper.

2 thumbnail scrapers and knife base.

Hey Tom,
Nice Finds and glad you (and the dogs) were able to enjoy walking the mud the last day of this year! Seems as most of the points you find are made of that black (chert) flint, what type is it? Hoping You the best of luck on your return trips!

Default it is a very common flint in this area

called Kanawha black flint. it is associated with coal veins in this area. 90% of the items i find are made of this kind of chert.
