Default sure did boobie !

This is the only birdpoint i've ever found.always wanted to find one ! Then today as i was scanning over a rather large cowpie i just happend to look to the side and there she was ! The craftmanship is pretty amazing as i have experimented with napping some points and it is not an easy job!I found this out after many cut and bleeding mishaps ! And to survive all these years is something ! The farmers will be plowing soon and i'm hoping to add a few more to the collection soon. Also the plowing should eliminate the thick layer of cowpies so i can get at some more of that silver !

Do you know what type of point it is? Is it a clovis? I don't have a book but that is what the bottom looks like.

Hey Pat,Its not clovis(wish it was though !) I belive its from the woodland era.About 1/2 mile from were i found it was the site of an Irouquois village.I heard an interesting story about this village wanna hear it ! here it goes ! it was told to me that there was an indian that was scalped and left for dead by the indians of this village. The indian however survived and lived in the woods close by,and whenever he needed somthing he would walk into the vilage and help himself as the villagers were terrified of him as they all thought that he was a ghost ! A friend of mine now owns property were this ghost was suposed to have lived and i have heard storys of a small cave. I searched for it last year but couldent find it (gave up to soon cuz of a big thunderstorm heading my way )Also there is a possible cach of gold coins in this area and I'm hopin to find this cave soon,I now know just about exactly were it is. HH...Terry

Just a small cave, more of an overhanging ledge from what i've heard.A friend of mine lived in it one summer. But as far is i know nobodys ever dug or detected it.What i would like is to search the village site but i asked and its owned by 2 or 3 brothers and one says yes the other says no. But it's at the site of the covergance of 2 rivers. So im planing on kayaking to the site and searching the river banks and doing some diving/snorkeling there this summer.
