Try it some time
After finding my first arrowhead a few weeks back I became fascinated with it. I spent a lot of time looking at it, the way it was made and just how the flakes had been removed. This in turn lead to hours online reading pages on flint knapping and a trip over to a friends house to talk him out of some of the obsidian he had found. Made myself the basic tool set and have been playing around with knapping for about a week now.
All I can say is if you have the oppertunity to try your hand at it give it a shot.. Next time you find a point you will have far more appreciation for just what you hold in your hand. The guy who made the one I found was a true craftsman.. Bob
