Hi All!
I found this "plug"? while diggin along the Ohio River on the West Virginia side. It measures 1" aross by 1/2" and is approx. 3/4" long. And has HEAVY patina around it. I understand the Eskimos wore "Lip Labrets". If this isn't a labret what would it be? Thanks for any and all help! Sandy ![]() ![]() Last edited by snadyk; 09-17-2006 at 07:38 AM. |

Thanks Pappy!
I found this in the same area as the axe head. I also found a small glass bead, a clay bead and one that I think is metal. I just didn't know what else it could possibly be. But I'm wondering how it got here. I mean, I have been told that only the Eskimos and Native Africains wore this type of ornament. Maybe one was visiting?...LOL! |
