Default fossils are me

Enjoy looking at all the arrowheads, axes, etc. But isn't there folks out there who find fossils? Down here in Ga. I haven't found any, but I used to have great finds in Calif. There was a group of sandhills to the east of Santa Cruz that was the seabed about 10,000 y.o. Great hunting there. Lets see some pics of your fossils, friends.

My bride said she doesn't need any more fossils because she has one now.
She said it is me.

All kidding aside I would love to see some fossils.

One of the benefits about us being a
RELIC or a FOSSIL
is that no one says anything when we take our nap before we go to bed.

Talking A rock on the ground

Any "rock" on the ground can be a "specimen" when it is picked up and taken home!
Texas is one of the most diverse areas in the US. I love finding fossils, I've done it all my life too.
Have you ever looked for shark teeth in the Bakersville area while you were in Calif? I have some I purchased they look simular to the Morocco stuff.

We are having a fossil show and sale here in Glen Rose Tex. on the last weekend in Oct. (27-29), "Fossilmania". Lots of stuff to see and purchase.
Field trips too! Lots of fun!

For some information in your area you may go to US Geological Society and down load some info there. They have the most comprehensive maps I can think of.
Good luck.

Hey, thanks for the replies. Rip, I used to live outside of Owego, NY. Our creek bottom had large blocks of matrix full of shells. Wish I had collected some then. As for Calif., I hunted that beachline in the sand hills, only. I've got oddles of shark teeth from just below Iuka, Ms. Nothing large. Those I purchased, a couple of Mag ones. They sure have gone up in price.I'll post some pics soon.
