Default stone tool

Hi. It could be a pestal that is used with crushing grains. But most that I know of have some what of a hour glass shape. A smaller area on top with a slim area for your hand to fit. Then a fat round bottom. I like the idea as a celt? for making holes in ones scull...eeerrrrr. It looks like a very good find. Good luck on find out what it is.

Default Celt

eBay: Nice Hopewell Celt, indian artifacts, arrowheads (item 200068849098 end time Jan-19-07 16:30:58 PST)

It is defintly a Celt, used as a weapon or as a sign of power. It would have been hafted into a piece of wood and secured with a sinew made of animal tendon. I have excavated a number of these from Mayan sites in Guatemala.
