Default Southern Illinois Fossils

I found these fossils in a old creek bed when I was Bow Hunting 2 years ago. After I had found the first one, I forgot all about Bow Hunting. I know that there are more there, I just havent had the time to go back and look.
Does anyone have any Idea what type of Plants these are ?

Those are beautiful specimine. I grew up in Paducah, KY and we used to find lots of fossils when I was young, but nothing like that.

Great find!

Default Tree Fern

The first pic looks like something like what my brother found in a creek bed in so Iowa. It's a fossil of a tree fern called a Psaronius. It's from the pennsylvanian period making it 300-350 million years old.
I sent my pics via e-mail to the local natural history museum and they identified them for me.

Default Silver Saddle

Isn't that in the Executive Inn? I haven't been to that bar, but I definitely know it. It really is a small world, huh?

Hey Creek. I'm pretty sure I remember the Pelican. Good catfish there!! I used to go to this place prettly close to Murray, KY in a town called Almo that was called the four seasons. They had some pretty mean Catfish (all you can eat)with white beans and cornbread!

Man, I miss home sometimes...
