Default Glass turtle

Insulator related glass thing i found in an antique shop. Made by factory workers at the hemingray glass factory by bord workers or as gifts for friends. (somthin like that...) This one looks to be from around 1920-1920 based on the color and quality of the glass. I have another one, larger amber colored but at the time i got it there was a ton on ebay so i suspect it's fake, but this aqua one is real. It's got a shell and a face to complete the look. Nice find, you probably think $13 isnt too good of a price for this but it's good if you know how hard it is to find one of these.

I have a love for antique Glass and have paid $100.00 for one piece. Everything has a value, but it only is a valuable to those who must have it. Nice piece. I think you did well.

I think it's awesome!! Knowing the history would make it worth way more than $13 to me. Congratulations on a great find. Keep it up! Maybe you'll find a whole zoo full of creatures like that.

i dont know about a zoo, but hemingray did make small glass turtles that were meant for production, not little whimsies the workers made.
I forgot to mention how it was made didn't i,
It was made by pouring glass into a ladle (thats how it gets it's odd appearance) and tweasers (are whatever they had laying around i guess) were used to make the turtles arms, legs, and tail. Too bad it wont fit on my light shelf.
