Default Welcome to John's Detectors !

Hello all detectorists,
My name is John Tomlinson and I want everyone to feel welcome here at John's Detectors. I have been detecting for 12 years now and I started John's Detectors about 2 years ago. I absolutely love metal detecting and all aspects of this great hobby. I also love the detecting instruments that we have available to us. I am a Certified Electronics Technician and have been working with and tinkering with electronics since high school.
I am currently employed fulltime as an electronics tech with a company that designs and manufactures instrumentation for the nuclear and radiation field. So that means I have an answering machine so that customers can leave a message or wait until after 3:30 PM CT to call me after I arrive to the business.
If I can help anyone just give a call and I will be very happy to talk with you because I love discussing metal detectors. John's Detectors is here for your every need and I really look forward to hearing from each and everyone here on Treasure Quest. Many thanks to you Greg for giving all the sponsors a business forum on TQ. So God Bless all of you and may you find many treasures out there.

Hi JC and ZMAN, Thank you both for the very kind words and I hope to be of help anytime you need to ask. I'm glad you like those Jollies ZMAN and I like them myself. I have put my share of time on my Jollies also and Detector Pro has great products. But I am here to help anyone to make their detecting purchases or just answer your questions. I also feel there is enough business for all of the Sponsors here on Treasure Quest. I have my standards and operate by them hopefully to be fair with everyone that does business with me. But I know that goes for Sponsors like Tony and the others. Ok I will chat with you JC and ZMAN later and I always hope to hear about good finds from you fellars. God Bless ya and happy hunting to all my TQ friends!

John, I do have a question, I would like to purchase a 2nd detector. I currently have the Whites M6 (which has been an excellent machine so far) I would also like to get into the water hunting. What are your feelings on the Tesoro Tiger Shark?

Hi Zman, well when you mention any Tesoro machine I am going to recommend it. So likewise with the Tiger Shark. It is a double duty detector for inland and beach hunting. Of course it is good to a 200 ft. depth for scuba diving. As with any water machine you need to pay more attention to matinence of the instrument. Take care of it and it will take care of you. It is well built and is a bit heavier. But I like the feel of this machine. There are 3 internal adjustments volume, threshold, sensitivity but it is easy to access them by poping the front faceplate loose from the casing. But I just have a liking for Tesoro and they have good solid business practices, that lifetime warranty is unbeatable. But yes if I can be of help to you Zman just PM me or call because John's Detectors is always at your service. God Bless and chat to you soon Zman.

Hey John, the 6 inch DD Minelab coil for my X Terra 70 I got from you has
turned the machine into a coin magnet. Works great in picking through
the trashy fairgrounds I have been detecting lately. Thanks for quick
service and keep in touch.

Gary

You bet Gary and I am glad the 6" coil is working well for you too. They were a long time in coming. Thank you very much for your patronage Gary. I must say it has been great to meet you and keep us posted on those finds. God Bless Gary.
