Default Thank You Kellyco for the $50 Gift Certificate

Thank You Kellyco and KellycoGirl:

I was very pleased to recieve your e-mail informing me that I had won the $50 Gift Certificate, it is Greatly Appreciated. It is always a pleasure to be able to share experiences with other detectorists on forums like this one and others. These forums wouldn't exist without the sponsorship of companies like Kellyco Metal Detectors and others. The fact that Kellyco has gone the extra distance and offered a contest to forum members is a lovely gesture and I commend you for supporting this wonderful hobby.

Kindest Regards,

BDA aka Eric Wainwright

Hi Eric!

My name is Ali, I'm the Technical Content Editor here at Kellyco Metal Detectors and one of the people responsible for the Minelab X-Terra 70 Contest that you entered.

While your name wasn't the one drawn as a winner of the X-Terra 70, we thought your story was so well told and accompanied by such great photos that we entered your name into a smaller contest - and you were picked!

As a runner-up for the X-Terra 70, and to say "Thank You" for taking the time to share a personal detailed story with us, we'd like to send you a $50.00 gift card to Kellyco for use either online, in our store or over the phone! You will also automatically be the first person entered into the next contest we have, which should be in just a few months!

Congratulations on being a runner-up for this contest, and thank you again for your great story and photos! Happy hunting and good luck!

Sincerely,
Alicia

I've been super busy since Mr. Drummond and I pulled the winner so I haven't had much time to post, but I wanted to say that I'm really happy it was a success! I personally read every story that was attached to the entries, and while it certainly wasn't a requirement that the entries include a story, I was so impressed by how many of you guys did and what all you had to share.

So a HUGE thank you goes out to BDA, who took that extra time to share a great story and attached some awesome photos (I hope $50.00 at least covers the cost of shipping for you out there!), and *everyone* else who did too. I'll be editing many of them and creating a page on Kellyco for each one... that oughta keep me busy for awhile.

Like Dan (MetDetDevl) said, there will be many other contests in the future. Stu and I had alot of fun planning this one - he was in here with me first thing every morning to see how it was coming - and we'll be cookin' up another one soon.

I know Kellyco seems like a big business but we really do have a family-run mentality... where else do you see a CEO sit down with a 25 year old, fresh outta college Tech Writer every day?

Anyway - I'm super busy right now but I'll try to catch up on posts later. Just wanted to say Thank You one more time!

- Ali

So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun!

Default I thought it was pretty kewl 2, JC.

I thought I should say something because almost no one on any of the TH'ing Forums knows me as anything but BDA. It's encouraging to everyone to know that if you play you can win these contests. It was a touching story, that I was fortunate enough to be a part of, that allowed me to win the prize.

Cheers,

BDA (Eric)
