Default Just Ordered.

From kellyco yesterday an ACE250!
Im excited!

like its some special 3 day thing they are doing, and im getting like $185 + or free stuff!
YAY!
That makes me even more excited!

But ok, when i get it.. and set it up and watch tht thingy,

I'll practice a bit in my yard, but wont find anything probably cause we just built it..

But then ill search woods in my backyard which im pretty sure is miles!
Not our land but the county's land!

Is the woods good?

Im also thinking of going by a very old canal.. They have a little park im pretty sure might have a few things!
wish me luck!

hopefully it will be here soon!

Congratulations Elvis on getting the ACE for a great price! Sounds like you have a plan, and a good one. I would search the front yard too!

Good for you Elvis, I think you are going to have a good time with the 250. A good price and all the extras. There is just no telling about the woods. Look for old home places in the woods to hunt or old trails. What part of the country are you from? Is the ground froze?

Good Luck, and enjoy your new 250
Earl

Congrats on the new Ace. I would search your yard until you don't have ANY MORE signals. Even though you just built your house the land was there way before you were born. People have walked or rode on that land. People have dropped things from the beginning. Your bound to find all kinds of things. You may just find nails and other assorted "junk" but as soon as you clear out that, the good stuff will be left.

The woods are a good place for the same reasons as above. At sometime in the past, somebody was on that land.

Check out that park AFTER you learn to dig the targets CORRECTLY. Park commissions do not like seeing holes left that could potentially become a safety hazard. This could bar anyone from MD'ing in the future. Tot lots with either sand or wood chips are easier to dig in as just a sweep with your hand or digger covers the hole back up. Also make sure that park and canal is not owned by the state or federal entities.

The Ace is a great MD and a magnet for coins and things. Keep practicing in your yard and soon you will become as skilled at removing your targets as a plastic surgeon is at covering scars.

Good points Andi, the only thing that I can add is to be careful of snakes or Alligators at the canal.
