Default Trip to NC's Outer Banks

I'm a NC native who is getting ready to make his first trip to our state's Outer Banks .... we will be leaving home early on Wednesday (18th) and plan to return home on Sunday (22nd) .... we will be taking our detectors with us and hope to spend as much time as possible wandering the shoreline .... if any members of this forum are going to be in the area and would like to link up, please contact me by PM ... we will be camping at Ocean Waves CG in Waves, NC

Jim

Hey Jim ... good luck on your OBX trip ... make sure to check the mding regs for the Waves area ... that part of the Outer Banks is National Park land I think ... anyway ... wish I could go with ya ... I live in Columbia which is only 45 miles from Nags Head (I know you can md in the Nags Head & Kill Devil Hills area but I have never tried it) ... Best of Luck and enjoy your trip!

thanks for the kind words .... I believe you are correct that Waves is in a restricted streach of the Outer Banks .... we will be going just north of there, hopefully with a fellow from another forum who lives down there

Yes some areas here are off limits. The southen part of Outer Banks is a national park service. The wind has been up and coming in from the N.E. so the waves are really stirin things up that should bring in more treasure as it usually does. I am new to the board here and hello to all of you. I am a dealer for Garrett here on the Outer Banks.

I just noticed the Admin here is from my neck of the woods. I am from Uniontown Pa. Now enjoying the Outer Banks
