Default Hey Wyatt

We'll all be pullin' for you, here, for a speedy recovery. So happy that you're taking this easily. I think they'd have to scrape me off of the ceiling to get me to the hospital. Crossword and find a word puzzles are your friends. Maybe somebody can bring you a laptop?

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep up the positivity and you'll be right as rain before you know it.

Hi all.....and thanks for the warm thoughts and prayers.

I do have a find-a-word puzzle book to take with me. My step-son looked through it and told the Mrs that maybe we need to edit it....and take all of the food related puzzles out of it

I don't have a laptop....but did get a portable DVD player and will take some movies along with me. The thought of a week of left leaning cable TV....was just more than I could handle.

I'm not apprehensive about the procedure. After having hernia surgery, 2 heart caths, and a coronary stent....it's easy right up until you wake up. This thing has given me real problems for so long that...while I'm not looking forward to the rehabilitation....I am looking forward to having "normal" bodily functions again.

If I look on the bright side.......I need to drop about 20 pounds anyway , so this is like the ultimate summer diet. The other bonus....is that I'll be a non-smoker when I get out. I've smoked for 37 years, which is probably enough for anybody.

I thought about getting in one more session with the detector before going in, but while picking raspberries (food of the Gods in my book) this morning, I twisted my ankle...and heard it "pop"...so it's a little painful and swollen. The good news, is that I have frozen enough wild black raspberries for 15 pies, or enough to hold me over until they ripen again next year. I probably walked 3 miles a day each of the 6 days I went picking, and that excercise was probably good for my heart too, to strengthen it prior to the surgery.

Thanks again to all of you. I'll check in with Gregory via telephone, and if there's anything that he feels a need to pass along, he'll be welcome to do so.

Wyatt Earp

Default Update on Wyatt

Looks like things went better than expected and he's mending now. Vic his wife sent me the below yesterday.......................

Surgery started at (July 5) 2:30 pm and concluded at 9:00 pm.

Dr Gilbert was able to suction the diverticulum out so there is only a
small incision, YES!, and he said the surgery went perfectly, no problem
at all. He will need the feeding tube for 2 weeks, another resounding YES!

He is in pretty good spirits so far, fussing about the tube in his nose
not being in there quite right.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll keep you all updated as I'm updated.

Greg
