Hey Wyatt! I'm so happy to be hearin' from you. I bet it was nice to get that tube out. Are you able to eat solid foods, or are you restricted to your intake? Walkin' yet? I sure hope you make a speedy recovery and get back out there soon. Maybe by the time you're able to hunt it will have cooled down a bit. Welcome back!!!

Keep that positive thinking and the healing will go faster.

Sorry Wyatt. I was gone for a while. I'm glad that you are home and that things seem to be getting better for you. I will keep you in my prayers for an uncomplicated recovery. Prayers are on the way from Pittsburgh.

I am back to eating solid foods, but with many restrictions, no foods high in fiber, nothing that creates gas, no nuts, no vegetables with skin...and I am still quite "loose".

That said......I don't care if I ever see pudding and ice cream again.

I have developed an allergy to the adhesive used on tape for bandages....even the hypo allergenic "hypa-fix" makes me break out now.

Being "self contained" is it's own reward though. When I had the tubes hanging from both sides I had to be aware of them constantly...and be very careful about them not getting caught on anything. Not to mention that the cats were very curious about those "toys" under my shirt that they weren't allowed to play with.

I have 2 open holes from drains that need to close yet, and after that I will be able to resume work on a "light" basis. I can't lift anything heavier than 8 pounds, and won't be able to drive for another week yet. I dropped 10 pounds through the whole ordeal.

But I'm getting better all the time.

I can breath easier, and much deeper....because of the mass having been removed and the increased volume in my right lung, and I can take pills again....without wondering if they'll even reach my stomach.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

Wyatt

I'm so happy that you're able to feel the effects of your surgery already, even through the pain of recovery. Just think how great you'll be feeling soon! Happy to hear you're back on solids and hope that your modified diet isn't forever. If it is, I'm sure it's no big deal compared to what you WERE going through.

Really happy that you're able to make some posts!!!!

I stopped over to visit with Wyatt today and he is doing really good. I really enjoy visiting with him
He gave me two quarts of raspberries that he picked last month. My wife made us a raspberry cobbler tonight and man was it delicious.
I'm not sure but as I was walking fast back to my truck I think he said that he would trade silver for more raspberries? I've got gallons of silver buddy
