That is about the only thing I don't miss about my home state...the heat...of course, it gets pretty darn hot in Virginia too. Only about another month or so of it and it will cool down..hang in there!

As gordiesgirl said, it has definitely been too hot in South Carolina lately to go out. I am without transportation at the moment (car in the shop and the guy working on it went on vacation, etc.) but have planned on going over our acre thoroughly. Unfortunately I was hit by a horrible 2-week bout of kidney stones, with outdoor temperatures up to 105 on top of it, so I have not gotten started. Hopefully I will be out there looking soon. Both my husband and I are out of work right now (he is a month into a really good 11-month intensive CAD training program), and I am trying to make money making things for ebay (things I sew, jewelry, keychains, etc.), but I told my friends that Plan B is to find a big box of money in my back yard.

Red face There's a name for that...

I think thats called 'the dog days of August'.

Been in the low to high 90's a lot here in Colorado, but we can escape into the 'high country' for relief.

Default Brrrrr....

Wish you could send some of that heat my way! It's been in the low 60's for awhile now and raining off and on for the past week (more on than off). I'm stuck in the house and going through MD'ing withdrawal. Gotta get out soon or I'm going to start bouncing off the walls! Thanks heavens for this forum so I can read all about everyone elses hunts and finds!

Hey Riki! Throw a plastic bag over that control box and head out the door. You better get your huntin' in now before it REALLY gets too cold for ya. At least there won't be as many bugs out while it's cool.
