Default It's just too hot to dig here in Mississippi!

100 degrees today and 102 forcasted for tomorrow. So I got a booth at a local flea market this weekend, and am going to sell old coins, old knives, and my Prizm III. I've already decided I'm going to keep a little bit of the money and buy an Ace 250. This Garrett 2500 is just too heavy for a long days huntin. I'll keep it handy for those special spots though. If your down around COldwater MS this weekend. come see me.

It hit a 103 today in Georgia. It was a record for today's date. Good luck at the flea market.

Default Hot But Wet

Wanna cool off???

Try water detecting in a lake during one of those scattered and blowing downpours.

It feels wonderful.

The treasures found are a bonus to the cooling off.

Rob your not kidding about it too hot to MD. I get off at 7AM from shift and have squeezed and hour or 2 before I pack it up. Not finding much lately thou. Got permission to hunt a site that was built in 1866 but it's right next to the MS. River and finding 1974 pennies 6 inches deep in the silt. LOL.

BTW I'll be blowing thru Coldwater sometime next Thursday Geocaching my way home in a round about way from Starkville. Matter of fact Coldwater is where I try to make a u-turn to return back to Natchez. Gotta take my daughter some stuff. She left for MS. State today with her mother and well of course I gotta go check on her and take some of her stuff.

Yea the 2500 is heavy but I'm just getting used to it. Still thinking about getting an Ace 250 as a loaner / backup.

I personally like the safari hats that have a solar panel on top and a fan underneath.

Default Body cooling

We use something simular to this at work. Really helps in engine room buildings that get to 110 degrees and higher.
