I'm with Pappy, dowsing won't find the corpse unless the money is buried with them. Take a look at some of Bert-Bert's tutorials on dowsing. It's VERY specific when you tell it what to find.

Some of the locals should be willing to talk by now I would think. Maybe during your additional research you could feel a couple of them out kind of testing the water with them so to speak and if you think they might talk go ahead and start asking away. As far as the dowsing...hopefully you wouldn't start digging and find a corpse but then again I guess that would be your "dead giveaway" that you were in the right place. If there is even a hint of any of the original gang activity though I would advise not going to search alone. Hopefully all goes well for you.

Sorry Pappy (and Pris)...that remark was meant as a bit of a joke. I realize dowsing is very specific and will only find what you ask it to find.

Being Wiccan, I am quite familiar with dowsing, but as it's something I haven't done in a while I am eagerly going through Bert-Bert's tutorials for a refresher. I'm so happy to see this wonderful artform mentioned so freely...I've come across my share of skeptics and naysayers in the past.
