Yes, I am a first time grandma (mom-mom, for those who asked)...and am flying high as a kite right now. I remember the moments my own babies were placed into my hands and never thought there'd come a moment to equal it... I was wrong.
As for looking "too young" to be a grandma...thank you for the compliment, Indy - it's much appreciated, especially since I just turned 40. But I guess I should admit that it is my stepson and his wife who had the baby, though I raised my husband's two boys from the time they were 5 and 9 years old (now 23 and 27) and I've never thought of them as anything but my own sons. I've also been very fortunate that their mother very graciously shares her role as "mom" with me, and just as graciously her role as grandma.
