Default kkfry, what detector...

are you using?
Curious if "registered in the iron dept" refers to low audio signal from a multi tone detector or a visual cue in the range of iron on a target ID meter or both? The issue of how large iron presents has been in a couple of posts lately. Just a few days ago I dug a badly rusted license plate at 12". It registered in the quarter area of the target ID (non-numeric) with an audio high tone. This has been my experience with ferrous items more than a couple of inches across.

Great find! Thanks for sharing!

Default Excellent!!

and the kudos to Boobie and Chuck are very well deserved!!

May I ask what museum you donated the piece to? And any idea on when it will begin to be displayed? It would be wonderful to visit the museum and be able to say "I know who donated that!!"

Thumbs up Congratulations

Hi kevin

Awesome find Congratulations. Hopefully it will find a home in a local museum where it can add to the richness of the local history instead of tucked away in a drawer and hidden far away.

Thanks
Leo
