I have researched a field near my home that was used in the 40's and 50's for the fair and carnival. Right now it is in soybeans. I am watching it like a hawk and will be asking the farmer who lives two houses down from me for permission soon. I just know I can get out of the non silver club this way....

I have never hunted a farm field but thought I would just make some x like sweeps to see if I hit anything while looking carefully at the ground and if I find anything search more carefully in that area. Is this a good approach?
