What a great looking dog, Julie !!!

I love that video of Skidboot as well Debbie & Julie, especially when he wonders why he god gave him such a treasure of a dog. Nothing but a humble old cowboy, the world would be a better place with more people like him.

Blind, deaf, stroke, ya still got to love them dags !!!

I am in tears after watching the video....what a precious gift Skidboot was to his family. I found his "official" website and was saddened to learn he passed away just a few months ago Internet Home To The Amazing Skidboot’s Life & Legacy

I have two dogs - Anni is a rottweiler/lab mix and is my baby. Joe gave her to me on our anniversary and, though I wasn't a dog lover at the time, Anni and I quickly became inseparable. She's 12 now and I will be lost when her time comes. I laughed when the video showed Skidboot "talking" on the phone. Anni has a similar talent. She used to sit at the dinner table and bark for scraps and one day I'd had enough and jokingly said "Shhhh - you're much too loud, you have to use your inside voice." She just looked at me a moment and then woofed in the quietest way I'd ever heard. Now, when she's outside she barks and when she's inside she uses her "inside "voice".

Coco is our chocolate lab - given to me on my birthday, but she very quickly let it be known she belongs to my youngest son. She just turned 6 last month. She's our ornery dog and the reason we have the invisible fence - she's a runner and won't stop until she drops.

My mom has a 5 1/2 pound chihuahua that is a runner. If we let her out in the fence she runs round and round the tree until she is gasping for air.

Darn, I didn't know skidboot had passed ......... ;-(

He used to be all over Texas at the different fairs and carnivals showing the horses how to run barrels .............. LOL

Whoa, Rikki, I have been trying to teach the "inside" voice for sometime !!!

I good book I just picked up the other day is called "second hand dog" was recommended by the animal control shelter. Gus tends to bolt at times and we are working to break him of the habit.
