Default Just Discovered Google Earth!

I found my house after just a couple of tries (google has my address wrong). Seeing as I don't drive and rarely venture too far from the house, I plan to use Google Earth to "go detecting" with as many TQ members as I can. So if you have a site that you wouldn't mind sharing the address on some of your favourite haunts, feel free (I'm not asking for home addresses or secret locations, don't worry). It just thought it would be kind of cool when someone says "I hunted such and such a park today" I could zoom in with that big eye in the sky and give a little wave!!

And if you have Google Earth and want to see my property that I've been finding all my goodies on - let me know and I'll PM you the location.

hey Rikki, That google earth is pretty awesome, I just wish they had clear imagery of the whole country. We have a version at work that shows and does all kinds of neat tricks, unfortunately I can not share that with you all.

Sure thing, Kevin! I'll go around digging and you can follow along behind throwing seeds into the holes before covering them back up. What a team! I get to keep half the veggies, though!

Hi all,

I have Google Earth downloaded, and it is great for well populated areas, but zooming in on rural areas leaves alot to be desired. My suggestion to those with resolution issues is to try WindowsLiveLocal.

Live Local Search

Better resolution in rural areas on this site, Google Earth cant be beat in urban ones. Both are great tools. WLL will even let you put pushpins on the map to keep track of where you have been or are interested in going.
