I suspect TQ members were "mining" eveyone's profiles. Most of us have an email listed in our profile under "email a message to..." although it is not disclosed.

They took the time to try to maximize the damage to the TQ community.

Apparently, they felt this was ok to do for whatever personal agenda they were following.

Where's the "respect and dignity" in that? Is that how they define it?

I think the issue here is the way their going about getting their members or new members. Spamming by email in any forum is just wrong and is certainly not tolerated here. Treasure Quest started from the ground up and so should they. Boobie is the one who sent the email to you Munderwood. as far as him getting your email address I don't know, my guess is he used the TQ hunt email list he had. There's more to it than just their email spamming, just this morning I had a threat made to me..something about revenge served cold or something to that fashion. That makes 3 threats in one week.

As for folks belonging to other forum I'm a member of two other forums myself. As I've said before we're trying to do our best for TQ as a family. With that said if anyone is unhappy here they are free to go. I certainly will miss them.

I have not received the e-mail "yet". As I am new maybe this is why? I dunno. Heck I post on about 4 or 5 other forums, but like this one the best.

I dunno what happened, do not really want to. I will continue to post here and enjoy this site. I enjoy it to much.

Don't Know What Happened, Don't Care. I Do Know that if ya get the Boot there is More So Than Not a Good Reason For It and there is usually gonna be some hard feelings and Mud Slinging. Like everyone else, I Treat People The Way They Treat Me and if I feel slighted or wronged I would settle it with those involved in a proper manner. If your going thru the Back Door doing things on the Sly AND Making Threats then I Say Go On With Your Bad Self cuz Your Not Needed Here !! I Support Greg 100% as I Believe what He does and having to make some tuff calls doing so is Truly what is The Right Thing & The Best Thing He believes to be for TQ and It's Members. The Only other Thing I can Say is.... Thers No Place Like Home !

I think what Tinman said makes sense. If you do something wrong and you get booted then it's on you. This is a good site and I have no problem showing it to anyone I know. There is a lot of hard work that goes into a site like this and I appreciate all the work Greg and the others put into this site. I for one will stay. Buster......

This is a great site, Greg - the only requirements are: act decently and treat everyone else with decency and respect...anyone who can't live with that...doesn't belong here and we don't WANT them here! Keep up the great job!

Greg has done a wonderful job in making this site the way it is today ...all his time and money in the past without any support! I stand firm in his decision's and will con't in the future! As far as the threat's involved here in the past couple day's ...very sad and can be used against them legally....I would be very careful out there who's making these threats and also most people that come on here are grown adults and should act that way instead of being very vindictive and childish...

I have recieved the E: mail and will try the new site but will never leave Treasure Quest I have made many wonderful friends here and I respect Greg. I do miss Chuck He was a sort of mentor to me and I do not know or care why he was booted. I am happy to be part of Treasure Quest and don't see any reason to not be part of other forums. however TQ is my home forum and I think it is great.
