Default Anyone receive this email?

I did and I didn't like it. Anyway, here is a copy of it.

Not exactly sure why Chuck was banned in the first place. I did read some of his posts which were somewhat out of line. If you have an opinion then voice it properly and not in accusatory and argumentative fashion. If Chuck was on the up and up, then I am sure he still would be there on TQ. I support Greg's decision.

Thanks but no thanks. I stay with TQ

This message is for many of the fine members of TQ. After long and hard thinking I have decided not to post on T.Q.,any more. I have made many friends on the forum but I was so disappointed in the completely unfair and crude manner of how Chuck of Treasure Hut was banned.

I was removed as moderator without a single word of what I was doing wrong (if anything). That was a real kick in the gut to me.
I hope Greg doesn't do the same thing to any of his new helpers.

I also worked very hard on the link exchange for Greg. He simply put up a post asking for a member to do the link exchange.
That pretty much was the icing on the cake for me.

I am now posting on
which is the new forum that Chuck of Treasure Hut has started, where people will be treated with dignity and respect. Not like some other websites.

I hated to do this because I have met so many really nice people on T.Q., but I refuse to be made a fool of any more.

I have also removed my hosting plan for from TQ to another hosting company.

It is obvious that this post will be deleted as soon as the owner of T.Q. sees it. But it is his forum and he can do as he pleases.

FEEL FREE TO FORWARD THIS ANYONE.

david I removed the links in your post. I suspect everyone will receive something like this. I believe it is chuck & boobie's intention to do as much damage here as possible. I would be careful about opening those emails, be sure your virus detection is up to date!

Default so whats the deal?

who is it from, I thought it was from Boobie, figured it had to be pretty bad situation if he was leaving in such a fashion. Chuck I can understand from the pieces of the situation I have found out but WHO IS THE EMAIL FROM, WHICH ONE? Can anyone clarify? And on another note, he emailed me at an email address that I do not have listed here, nor elsewhere, it is my business one, I have no idea how he got it.

Greg any clarifications? I am getting worried about site security now!!!!!!!!!

I received it today but I don't get involved in other peoples personal issues, I know that there's 2 sides to every story, and I'd just as soon not hear either. I believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt and I will only judge people by the way they treat me, my family and close friends, not by what I hear about them.

I'm with you David, I support and respect Greg's decisions, it's his site and he has the right and reason to make the decisions that he makes and I appreciate him not giving out the details of those decisions, and I'll stay with TQ also, but that doesn't mean that I won't visit or participate in others.

I already belong to several sites (Minelab Owners Forum, Friendly MD Forums, T-Net and now this one), but as of now, this is the only one that I actively participate in, but TQ is the best that I've seen so far and I really enjoy it. I will continue to join other sites as they're available, the above mentioned one included. I know others here at TQ belong to and participate in other forums and I see no problem in trying to learn as much as we can about our hobby by whatever resources that are out there and participate as we feel compelled to.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I received thie e-mail as well...I've even visited Chuck's site...it seems like it will be a good site - but I like this one better, and see no reason to leave TQ. I've spoken (e-mail) to both Chuck and Boobie since joining TQ - they both welcomed me and helped me as a part of TQ - and I hate to see them go. BUT, everyone does for themselves what they think is best - and it is no different in this case. I hope the best for everyone involved - but will continue to be an active member and supporter of TQ.

Having said that, I still plan to remain in contact with Chuck and do business with Treasure Hut - and plan to hunt with Boobie on my next trip to Pennsylvania...in keeping in the spirit of what Alan (Minelabman) said - I deal with folks based on how they deal with me - and so far EVERYONE that I've had the privilege to meet and come in contact with through TQ has treated me like a friend.

I agree with you Shawn in not seeing any reason to leave TQ. What I don't understand (and I was new to forums when I joined TQ) is: Are you supposed to leave one to join or participate in another? If you have the time, or are in front of the computer alot, what's wrong with participating in several? Don't mean to sound ignorant, but I guess there's alot I've yet to learn .

That's the way I understand it as well, Ark and Minelab...I apologize if I gave the impression that it was one or the other...what I meant was that a lot of us here at TQ try to help support the site in some small way...(contributing to the server fund....group buys to help support sponsors, etc). I choose to only support one site in this fashion, and that is TQ. I see nothing wrong in participating in more than one site...after all - a person doesn't learn everything about one topic by reading just one book...

Default true, all of what you guys say

I am member of several and deal with people the same way they deal with me.

But I still wonder how they got ahold of my other email address.
