Default Still Thankful

It is 4:14AM EST local. I have not been in bed. I just can not get to sleep, My mind is raceing like crazy. i have been going over my thankfuls and i want to share them with you.

This may end up being pretty long.

I am THANKFUL for my wife of almost 10 years. I am THANKFUL for her devotion and selfless love toward others. I am THANKFUL for her strength in hard times. I am THANKFUL for the 2 handsome sons she has given me.

I am THANKFUL for 2 legs and feet to stand on. I am Thankful for the strength to do so. I am THANKFUL for a sound mind that allows me to think and deduce and plan and understand. I am THANKFUL for 2 arms and hands that allow me to work and provide for me family. I am also THANKFUL because those same hands allow me to hold my children, and to hold my loving wife.

I am THANKFUL for the very breath i breathe, THE VERY BREATH OF LIFE.

I am THANKFUL for my wifes mother. she will be missed but she is still very much loved. I am THANKFUL for my wifes family who came together and found an unbelievable strength to hold every one together. I am THANKFUL for the comfort we have given one another.

I am THANKFUL to this forum, this TQ FAMILY, my brothers and sisters. I have found strength and courage and faith and hope in each and every one of you. you are mentioned in my prayers of thanks and in my prayers of hope. I do believe this forum to be blessed with some of the best people in the world. Is it because we dig that all you good folx have become the salt of the earth. this is truly a tight knit group who despite the miles between us has come together as a family. God bless you one and all

No Vessel on the mighty sea can stay afloat on an even kill, with out a good man at the helm. I am THANKFUL for greg.

Folx greg and i have talked several times on the phone. he tells it like it is and does not pull any punches. he is a great guy, truthful, up right, and on the level. In todays world it is hard to find a man that is honest and fair and sticks to his word. yes greg sheri and i are both VERY THANKFUL TO TREASURE QUEST, ITS MEMBERS, MODERATORS, AND FOUNDER.

God bless each and every one of ya on this Holiday of giving thanx.

Hi BigBill,
Thank you for reminding us of the things we all should be thankful for. You are a wise man to realize you have so much. We all share a great hobby but it really isn't who we are. We are family members first and foremost. Keep taking care of yourself and your family because they are more important than any find. Have a great holiday!

bigbill,

No words can ease the pain that you are feeling now, but have comfort in knowing that there are friends and family who are there for support and comfort. I lost my mother (in-law by definition but more like my own mother) 1 year ago this November. I felt the pain of her loss, and I still do, but I can only imagine what my wife must feel. The same with you, although you feel the loss imagine what Sheri is going thru. It's tough for both of you. Hang in there and be strong, talk to people, read books on grieving - find out what works best for you and your family. Remember your mother in-law may be gone, But Never Forgotten.
Peace

Default Thank You, Big Bill

Thanks for the post Bill. It's WAY to easy to get caught up in the everyday - and forget what is really important. Over the Thanksgiving holiday I was way out in the boonies and at first became really frustrated because I didn't have internet or cell phone service. How in the world would I keep up with business? Would I miss out on something important? And then it hit me like a freight train...who cares? Nothing can POSSIBLY be more important than the smiling faces around me...my family and friends who love me for being me - NOT for whether or not I land the next big deal. I felt like such an idiot!

Thankfully, I have my wife who keeps me on an even keel...she never said a word all the time I was griping about missing e-mails and phone calls...but just smiled and hugged me when I said I was sorry for being such a jerk, and said: "I knew you'd figure it out".

God bless ya, Bill and Sheri for showing all of us how to be thankful - even during the hardest of times.

Shawn
