Default Warsawdaddy Will Rebound

Monday was the funeral and ,yes,I fell completely apart.Tuesday son,Brian left for Ms and daughter,Caron, left for Mobile, yesterday, son Lance left and I expect a new period of greiving will linger with me.Without the kids,I don't know how I would/will get through this.49yrs,6mo,2days seems like a long time to be together with someone you love and when that one person is no longer there, that time seems like it was so short.I guess it's natural to think about our time together and what a time we had.Much too long to post here. All I'll say is I never passed her in a room without giving a pat or hug.A kiss and a 'love you' every night and morning, and no day without a laugh.Sure I spoiled her,she deserved it.We lived a spontaeneous life and loved it,danced a thousand miles holding each other. Now I suspect it won't be long before I lay beside her again but until then you'll just have to put up with me here.During the past 10yrs of her health problems,I've detected exactly 9 times, which includes the Otterville and CTH and three club hunts. She could not be left alone and it was easier for me to tend to her and I also felt it was my duty to be here, not someone else's.I have bought, traded, sold many detectors all this time and used very few of them, come Spring,I intend to wear them out.
Once again I want to express my thanks to each of you and I'll say again,I love you guys. Happy Thanksgiving and I hope deep in your hearts, you know what 'Happy Thanksgiving' really means.Bless you and yours'.Ron

Hang in there. Spring will be here soon. I know what you mean. Everytime I pass my wife, I like a hug. Or If we are out I still hold her hand. After 16 years we still get along well. She even likes me sometimes. I would not trade her for anything. She makes me better than I am. Take care, and as always you can hang out here at TQ.........Buster....

That you loved her so greatly is the very reason to enjoy the time you have until you reunite. I know that she would want nothing but enjoyment of life and happiness for you because you gave that to her. May God Bless and keep you in this time of sorrow.

Hi Ron,

I’m a newbie and we really don’t know each other but my heart goes out to you. I’ve walked in your shoes, not the wonderful 49 year marriage, but the grief of loss.

What a great attitude in such a sad period of your life. As I’m sure you know grief recovery is not linier, one day you may have a good day, which might be followed by your worst. But you seem to know what to expect and that will help. Read some books on grief recovery or join a group, that too will help.

You’ve been a very good and faithful husband, but now you must spend some time on you. This has got to be a hard day for you, I hope you have plans to get out of the house for awhile.

PM me if you like, I’m a good listener.

You’re in my daily prayers,
Dave

Ron, there are no words that I can say to compensate for your loss. I know you will remember her with every passing hour and that will keep her with you for always.
