Post 1000... Visit With Friends... Santas Midnight Run.... Sammys 3am Potty Call

Merry Christmas one and all.


Sheri, Thomas, Sammy and myself want to thank each and every one of you so very much. Tears were shed this morning, a few in sadness but most were for joy. Our boys ended up on Santa's NICE LIST (still trying to figure that one out) and Sheri and I are so very thankful for all the wonderful people on this forum who made it happen. GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

A week before Christmas we all loaded up and went to Walterboro, SC. We go up once a month to pay bills and spend some time in a great lil southern town. We stopped in to see dixylady, but she and her husband were out on a hunt. bad for us but great for her and her husband. i have heard through the grape vine they made some good finds.

Since we were out and about we decided to set a course for Sally, SC and go visit Gordies Girl.

I want it made clear for the record. If ya ever hear Christina speak you will know there is nerry a way around the fact she is yankee.

BUT THE HOSPITALITY WAS SOUTHERN AT ITS BEST!!!!!!!

Never in my life have i ever been more welcomed.ANYWHERE!!!.. The Family and I were all welcomed with open arms.

Gordon, Christina, Mathew and Timmy were so warm and kind. These folks opened there door and hearts us. They are great people and we plan on making many trips up there and We cant wait to return the hospitality.

GORDAN GET WELL SOON MY FRIEND. The fish are calling and i can put us on top of some good shark.

Santa came at midnight last night. The kids got to bed early. Good for Santa....BAD FOR MOMMY AND DADDY!!!!!!

lilsaminsc had a 3 AM potty call. So he comes running upstairs to inform US that Santa had come and gone. It is very difficult trying to explain to a 4 year old that you have to wait till at least sunrise to open gifts. EVERY 20 minutes for the next 4 hours he come running upstairs to see if its time to open gifts. at 5:30 he was shaking daddy to get daddy to make the sun rise faster.

Well at 7am i come downstairs so the kids will let sheri get some rest. i had to set on armed watch at the christmas tree just so the kids would wait for mommy and Papaw b4 opening all their gifts.


A couple of weeks ago i found a used whites prizm 4 for a great price and i got it for the kids. So they had 2 machines under the tree, one for each of them and YES we took plenty of pics. These boys lit up like you wouldnt believe when they opened these detectors... its an amazing thing to see this much joy in there faces. its what they have both been asking for and yes they have already been out in the yard with them. Thomas' finds for the morning with prizm 4, 2 pennies (one not seeded).... sammy's finds with ACE 250...3 pennies and a dime (dime not seeded).

I MADE IT A POINT TO PLANT SOME PENNIES IN THE YARD OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS. just drop a penny and kick some dirt over it.


There are some things i wanna say most will go into other post. but this is the thread that i want to say the most important thing of all.

No where in the world is it possible to find so much brotherly love and affection as here on TQ. not just the internet but the world as a whole.

Sheri and I want each and every member to know that we hold you all very close to our hearts. We are Eternally grateful to the members, docdinar, Christina, and of course Greg.

Greg i know in my soul that the world is better place because of good men like you. I am thankful for having found TQ, and i am ever so grateful that i can call you friend.

Pictures will be forth coming as soon as supper is finished and sheri and i get a moment to sit down and get them loaded. i ask for the same patience (actually i ask for a lil more patience) that was given for this thread. We will have pics just give a lil time.

now i am gonna go post some and get this monkey off my back.

merry christmas bill, I have'nt spoken to you yet, newbie here...looks like you had a great christmas with the kids..Yes these detecters are great at bring the family together, My 10 year old daughter is wanting one already..So I look forward to taking her hunting with me and the wife..Looks like i might have to invest in a few more so i can give my wifes christmas present santa got her back to her a new titan 2000 xd...Its great to here kids so excited at christmas time ..My 2 year old just wanted apples, she loves apples..santa left her lots of apples...look forward to reading your post and seeing pic..james...
