From what you've described, you have some awesome places to hunt! Good luck and be careful on the 4 wheeler, you see the other drivers but they don't always see you!

Dylan...I'm new to TQ and the hobby of metal detecting also. I received my ACE 250 for Christmas and I only have a handful of hunts under my belt but I want to give you a little advice. The easiest way I have learned to use my detector is by going to any place that has gravel, wood chips etc as ground cover. It's easy to dig,"I live in Pennsylvania and the ground is hard as a rock'" and to cover up the holes you have made. I went to the local high school track and found over $5.00 in clad..nothing old but had a great time learning how to use the Ace "coin magnet" 250.

Hey Dylan, Good for You.. Your already lining up some Hunt areas. Take Your Time, Remember to read Your manual over & over. Should have that Ace anyday now. I'm really xcited for you as I know that feelin. As Sarge said Be Careful on the 4 wheeler, While your drivin keep your mind on that and not what you hope to find. Once ya Park It Then You Can Put your mind into Detectin Mode. Remember, We Want To Hear From You.. NOT About You !!!! Some Very Good Tips from Paulyd To !

Good Luck & HH

Another Tip, Dylan. If you're taking the Yeller Feller out hunting and there is even the slightest chance of it getting wet, bring along a medium size ziplock baggie. If a shower threatens or there is snow on the ground just slip the baggie over the control housing to protect the electronics from getting wet. You can still see all of the controls and the display and you can adjust settings right through the plastic. You won't have to worry about your new toy going PFFT! because it got wet or snowy, that would really suck!

Good Hunting,

BDA
