First of all...I don't conscider(spelling please)...myself that old......but what happened to the good ole days, when ya didn't have to lock your door at night...first of all get rid of the drugs and that would solve alot of the problem and start using that belt...spare the rod spoil the child...Hope I don't step on any toes here...but just the way I beleive...

Is sad that ya always have to be looking over your back now days...

HH with a partner if ya have too...I will find a safe place to hunt...With a partner if I have too and makes it even more enjoyable also!!!

I just applied for a CCW just for this reason. I shoot my pistols at a range and hunted my whole life and with the world changing as it is, I will not be unarmed. It is my Right...

BH-Thanks for understanding my post wasn't any sort of attack on you, it wasn't. My point was....when there are properties (especially possibly "treasure rich" ones like you've described), and you allow the "bad guys" to prevent upstanding-law abiding citizens to be "scared away" from their Constitutional Right to MD that property (as long as it's legal).....the "bad guys" win, and "Joe MDer" loses.

If I were you, I'd grab a few fellow LEO's and some local MDers.....and go have some fun. Dress in plainclothes & if someone approaches anyone in a threatining manner....throw their butts in the slammer & prosecute them. Might be a good chance to send a message..........

And if the world weren't full of lowlife scum, I wouldn't feel the need to carry, but it is, and I do. I've carried for 30 years, and it stemmed from having a gun stuck in my face while on a service call.....not a feeling I ever want to know again, armed or not. Atleast if I'm armed, I stand a better chance of surviving. I have the right to protect myself 100% of the time, and I'll never allow that right to be taken away from me, and I'll promise you that I'll fight to my death on that right. The fact of your admitted personal fear only serves to prove my point.
