Default back from the club

well my first meeting was tonight with the Huachuaca Prospectors Association and it was pretty cool actually. next month when i go i will officially be a member. The people were very nice and it was interesting to see how they conduct business. Right now they are working on staking out some new ground in another range west of here. I found out where one of there claims are and was told i could go up there and have a look-see. I'm really excited! The old timer i met who invited me gave me a pan ,too. They raffled off 4 nuggets , the heaviest weighing 8.5 grains (or grams..not sure.) I didn't win one but it was cool to see a nugget for the first time in real life. They are looking for new blood so i think i showed up at the right time. I am looking forward to being an active member and said that if they wanted me to dig a hole to China i would! lol But seriously it was a smart move and if any of ya'll are thinking about joining a club like this then you should! I'm going to be learning a lot about detecting and gold hunting this summer ! Yay!!!

Sounds like you had a good time meeting new hunters. Also sounds like a move in the right direction. Hope all works out well. Good luck in your endeavors.
