The Moderators have a tough job and I'm the first to acknowledge that. In reality it is up to the members of this forum to make the moderators' job easier by regulating ourselves so that posts don't have to be cancelled in the first place. Sometimes we'll get carried away with a post and then someone has to step in and make a call but the parties to the post should be contacted first so that it doesn't become high handed. Not enough censorship and it would be out of control, too much censorship and this forum would be about as exciting as 3 day old oatmeal. If members take the time to post something they feel is relevent then it's only common courtesy to notify the member before the post is deleted and why it is going to be deleted, this way the post could be modified by the member instead of deleted if an error in judgement has been made. It's not perfect but it's a good compromise.
Cheers,
BDA
