Hello all
I made it to my local MD Dealer today to test out my options, and have decided on the MXT300.. (Before i got there i was set on the DFX300) It was tough to decide which one i wanted, and had it down to the DFX, X-terra70, and the MXT. After all the research i thought i was setteled on the DFX but perfer the silmplexity of the MXT. "Sorry Minelab owners, but the X-Terra just did not float my boat."
I did not get it today, becuse the dealer is $120 more than the place im ordering it from,(A sponser of this fourm) and the accessories are not as good..I figure i wil get some more goodies for what im saving.(like coils)

Hey Space congrats on the MXT!! It is a great machine and will do you well for many years. Hey no worries on not liking the X-70 that is one of the cool things about this hobby. Lots of different machines, enjoy and learn the one you like, Beale.

Hey Space Weasel, Congratulations on the New MXT ! As Beale said.. There is never a Problem here ( None of that My Brand is Better than Your Brand Kids Stuff ) with what detector brand Ya use as Everyone has their own preference. It's ALL good Here. The only time someone may speak out negatively is if they are trying to keep ya from getting ripped off by getting a piece of junk that someone is trying to get over on you with. I'm not familiar with Minelabs but I think the MXT for what you were lookin for was the better of the 2 Whites. The DFX is a Killer machine but as you said for the simplicity I think Ya got the right one for You. Don't remember if I posted this to you before ( gettin old I guess ) But just in case I didn't...If you go to Yahoo or Google and type in MXT Detector Forums .. Then Click on..The Very Unofficial MXT Users Home Support Page..You will find some Great Info and Insight there on the MXT. Also Thanks for Supporting the Sponsors here with Your Purchase as They In Turn Support this Site we call Home. Wish Ya Many Great & Interesting Finds with Your New Machine. WTG !!!!!!!!

Good Luck & HH

Good Luck with your choice of machine.......I have never had an MXT but others speak highly of it.
I am an XT70 fan but it took me a while to find that right machine for me, we all have are own preferences, so good luck and happy hunting........be sure to post up those finds your going to be making.

You have to go with your own feelings,it is the only way you will feel comfortable with your machine,it's all about having Faith in what you have. You are going to have some fantastic finds.

Congrats on the MXT! Great detector as everyone has said. I went with the M6 . Was going to get the MXT , but from what I heard the MXT is too noisy on wet salt water beaches. Was a tough choice for me too. You will love the MXT !
